Dr.
Brittany Grovey, MD
Interventional Pain Specialist.
Dr. Grovey is double board certified in anesthesiology and chronic pain medicine. She practices the full spectrum of chronic pain management and aims to encourage patients to be active participants in their treatment plans. By understanding each patient’s personal goals, Dr. Grovey focuses on restoring function and improving quality of life for her patients.
As a past All-Ivy League, two-time Division I All-American, and professional track & field athlete competing in the 2008 Olympic trials, Dr. Grovey aims to optimize her patients’ physical and mental well-being to help them reach their maximum potential - whether that is returning to sport, or returning to activities of daily living. Her particular areas of interest include headaches, sports related injuries, regenerative medicine, and women’s health related pain, including pelvic and post-mastectomy pain syndromes.
Dr. Grovey graduated with a degree in Biology from Brown University, and received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She went on to complete an internal medicine internship at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, CA, and an anesthesiology residency at the University of California, San Diego.
Within the sub-specialties of anesthesiology, Dr. Grovey was drawn to the field of chronic pain medicine and completed an interventional chronic pain medicine fellowship at the University of California, San Diego, one of the most recognized Pain Fellowship programs in the country.
Spending time outdoors in sunny San Diego with her husband and two dogs, and searching for interesting locations to watch and take pictures of the sunset.

I grew up in a household that valued service to the community. Throughout my life, I have witnessed the effect chronic illness can have on a person’s quality of life and well being. As a physician, I have the opportunity to serve the community by helping people to reclaim their lives despite chronic illness.

Gemayel Lee, MD
Interventional Pain Specialist.
Dr. Gemayel Lee, MD, is an anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained specialist in Pain Medicine. He manages all forms of pain and aims to build lasting and quality relationships with his patients by incorporating a comprehensive, multi-modal and patient-centered approach with his practice. He readily integrates cutting edge medical therapies into his individualized treatment plans while promoting healthy lifestyle choices and emphasizing physical and mental well-being.
Dr. Lee received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, consistently ranked among the top medical institutions in the world, followed by a rigorous internship at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, CA. He completed anesthesiology residency at the University of California, San Diego, and fellowship training in Pain Medicine at the UCSD Center for Pain Medicine, an American Pain Society Center of Excellence. While training under the internationally renowned faculty at UCSD, Dr. Lee developed particular interest and expertise in interventional techniques, implantable therapies, neuromodulation, regenerative medicine, and medication management including medical cannabis.
Dr. Lee is a native of Southern California. He enjoys watching local sports and spending time with his wife and family. He has a passion for education, mentoring and community service.
